Body Shots and more

Metro Mandaue presented the Metro Body Shots 2010 grand finals at the Super Metro Activity Center last month.

The show boasted of six contenders for the male and female category, who flaunted their sexy or athletic build.

University of Cebu (Banilad Campus) student Ruel Navares and Venus Jane Lopez, a half-German high school student from San Roque Child Development School won the Mr. and Ms. Body Shots, respectively. Lopez also bagged the Best in Casual Wear, Swimwear and Production number awards.

The judges for the contest were Dionalane Larase, Michael Ryan Yu, Jimar Cabrera, Renante Camarillo, Russel Esguerra and this writer.

Kudos to events coordinator Rose Espinosa and crew for a successful event!

Meanwhile, Metro Colon staged a Hawaiian dance contest for kids in its activity center last Saturday.

Five hopefuls swayed mostly to the tune of “Pearly Shells” in the hope of making it to the grand finals.

Kids were judged according to style and originality, stage presence, costume, mastery and audience impact.

Model Alfred Tam and CCTN 47 personality Amie Filomeno and this writer were the judges for the event, which was conceptualized by Metro Colon ads and promotions liaison officer Ruwelyn Villahermosa.
