Can Babies Really Learn in the Womb?

- PR -

CEBU, Philippines - Expectant moms want to get everything right. We eat right, stay away from caffeine, and take all the necessary supplements. Unique to us Filipinos, we even follow age-old advice of our grandmothers like to constantly look at a beautiful person so that your baby would be beautiful as well; or avoiding char grilled foods lest your baby would be born dark-skinned. Funny as these may all sound, mothers don’t like to take risks. We do everything to give our babies a head start.

What if you can give a head start in education?

Many studies have shown that it is indeed possible for a child to start learning from the womb. BabyPlus Prenatal Education System introduces your developing baby to learning in the first, only true and consistent language of the prenatal environment - the maternal heartbeat. As a baby discriminates the simple rhythmic sounds of BabyPlus from those of the mother, auditory learning begins.

The system is easy to use; just wrap the BabyPlus device around the belly twice a day, starting at any time after the 18th week of pregnancy. Babies can listen to lessons while mommy is working or even relaxing at home.

BabyPlus babies have been reported to be alert and calm at birth; readily nurse; are more interactive and responsive. Later in life, the babies demonstrate earlier developmental milestones and improved school readiness.

However, Lisa Jarrett, president of BabyPlus, is quick to dispel the assumption that

BabyPlus creates geniuses. “A mother who takes a vitamin while pregnant would not be accused of trying to create a body-builder,” she points out. “We’re not saying that

We’re promoting geniuses. We’re about having moms think about long-term cognitive development.”

BabyPlus is available in Toys at Work Banilad Town Center, Toys at Work Ayala Center and exclusively distributed by Quirks Marketing Philippines. For more details you may visit www.babyplus.com or www.quirksmarketingph.com.
