Swim & Surf 2010

CEBU, Philippines - Ayala Center Cebu once again paid tribute to this colorful and jam-packed season in their Summer: Swim and Surf 2010, which was held on April 28 at the Ayala Activity Center and The Terraces. Shoppers were in for a festive afternoon as various fun-filled summer activities and prizes awaited them. 

Jessica Yap, a representative from Ayala, said they want to make Ayala a summer destination. True enough, Swim & Surf was able to take an essence of the beach and bring it to the city, much to the convenience of urban-dwellers.

The mood of a vibrant summer party was felt in the Activity Center as Sugbu Performing Group entertained the crowd with zip dancing and ethnic dance beats. On the sides, there was a free Henna tattoo and body-painting booth courtesy of Skin Deep and an on-the-spot skimboard design by Karingkay of the renowned Ubec crew.

There was also an exhibit of the finalists’ entries of the Best Barkada Beach Photo and the Skimboard Design Competition. Winners of the two contests receive thrilling summer packages from Island Banca Cruises. Christian Saavedra, who won the Best Skimboard design was awarded with a Couple’s Package; and Fhines Tumulak was awarded with a Barkada Package for her best barkada beach photo.

The day was culminated with a Summer Soiree and Fashion Show that was held in the Terraces at six in the evening.
