Flame It!

Nearly eight years ago, Flame It opened their first branch along Escario Street, an 18 square meter place on the parking lot of Myra’s Pension, (a block away from the current existing Escario branch). Business was excellent and today, Flame It has five branches all over the city of Cebu. “It was truly the love of burgers that had given us the idea of running a burger joint and has taken Flame It this far,” shared Ella Christa Villacin.

Flame It is an all-Cebuano brand. “Our burgers are big and meaty, giving you great value for your money. We grill our burgers over lava and volcanic rocks, we do not use charcoal as this can be harmful to one’s health,” Ella expressed. “With grilling, the fat and oil seeps out of the burger as it drips off through the grill, thus making our burgers a healthier option as opposed to the fried fast food ones. Our burgers are freshly grilled. They are cooked upon ordering, not pre-cooked, stored and reheated.”

Currently, Flame It is promoting a product called the Mini B’s (mini burgers), with five mini burgers in every order that come in two varieties. One is the Classic Mini B’s or the Sampler Mini B’s (a choice of topping, a combination of bacon mushroom and cheese, garlic mayo, cream cheese and garlic and chili con carne with cheese). You may also choose to add fries at an extra cost.

“As Flame It’s products are delivered straight to the stores from its commissary after production, we can assure our customers of its freshness. With its exposed kitchens in every branch, you may watch as your food is prepared directly in front of you, ensuring our customers of food safety and sanitation as well”, said Ella.

As a growing family business, Ella handles the over-all operation together with her sisters, E-en Villacin-Garcia handles the finance and Louie Villacin handles corporate development. “When the job requires more than we can handle, we can always rely on the help of the rest of the family, my brother Anton and of course, my parents,” Ella elaborated.

On expansion, Ella shares that there are plans to bring Flame It outside of Cebu City. “We want to completely solidify our position in this city since this is where we first started so at present, we are focusing on our existing stores,” she said. “I’d also like to add that we are cooking up something for Flame It, which we are soon to launch, it will be a surprise, so do look out for it.”
