MANILA, Philippines - Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. And we do know that February has long been a month of romance. Perhaps the most famous Valentine symbol is Cupid and everybody knows that boy armed with a bow and arrows, and piercing hearts. He is known as a mischievous, winged child armed with bow and arrows. The arrows signify desires and emotions of love, and Cupid aims those arrows at Gods and Humans, causing them to fall deeply in love. Cupid has always played a role in the celebrations of love and lovers at Waterfront Mactan.
This year Waterfront Mactan celebrated the love day with a dreamy night complete with moonlit candlelight dinner for two by the pool, succulent food specially designed for the evening and soothing acoustic strums of the Dream Heart Band.
A set menu with the romantic ambiance completed the evening of several couples each professing love and affection. The ambrosial set menu consisted choices of mouth-watering Roasted Pumpkin Soup infused lemongrass and basil oil with diced mixed seafood for starters, Crispy Cilantro Shrimp with chili plum sauce, Oven-roasted Australian Beef Tenderloin with Pan-seared crushed parsley potato cake and fine root vegetables Barollo jus, Pan-fried Cream Dory Fillet serve with roasted tomato risotto and Normandy sauce and Strawberry and Baileys Parfait in chocolate cons topped with fruit and hazelnut rice crispy.
