Attorney at Bar

CEBU, Philippines - It was another stellar cast of legal eagles that congregated in Cebu, as lawyers flew in from Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, as well as Singapore, for the fourth annual External Counsel Cocktails of the Aboitiz Group.

Harvard lawyers Gibson Dunn and Rajah Tann made their presence felt among their world-class Filipino counterparts, as wine flowed freely and conversation gushed copiously.

High powered execs from the various Aboitiz companies, including Aboitiz Power, Tsuneishi, VECO, Davao Light, Aboitiz Land, AP Renewables, and Metaphil showed up to mingle and rub elbows.  AEV Chief Legal Officer and First Vice President Jasmine Oporto welcomed all the guests with special Cebu prichon and the award winning voices of the UV Chorale.

The leading legal lights (including name partners Dave Puyat and Roy Santos of Puyat Jacinto & Santos, Eric Puno of Puno&Puno, Raoul Angangco Villaraza, Cruz  & Angangco) mixed with Attys. Thad Alvizo and Alan Fontanosa of SyCip Salazar, Ben Yap of Caguiao & Gatmaitan and Gabby Dee and Lia San Juan of Picazo Law.

After a wonderful time at the Casino Español, the guests split into various explorer groups as they headed for Cebu’s nightlife.  Bellini Bar called to the wine aficionados, while the wilder group ended up in Loft and partied the night away, a great ending to a great evening.
