Building a family at Hennaville

- Ritche T. Salgado -

CEBU, Philippines - When Prime Homes Development Corporation decided to start a housing project catering to the mid and higher income brackets, they decided to build it in Compostela, a town two-hours ride from the city.

Technically an unknown place, Compostela has yet to earn a page in travel books, this despite its rich history and heritage. The shyness of this place is perhaps its main selling point, as more and more professionals and beginning families are realizing the value of a quite atmosphere and a healthy environment; away from the city’s busy lifestyle and innumerable pollutants.

Prime Home’s General Manager Rey Alfonso Aguilar said that since it launched the project a year ago, they are already halfway in selling all 286 units. All 66 units for the first phase are already sold out, while the 72 units for the second phase are 80 percent sold. The construction of the second phase will finish on April, while the third phase is yet to start on June, and set to finish by end of this year.

Called Hennaville, Aguilar said that the community is complete with all the conveniences of a modern housing community.

“We are a gated community with a commercial area, underground drainage, a wastewater treatment facility, tree parks and playground, a basketball court and a multipurpose hall,” he said.

He elaborated that travelling from the capital and back would be a snap especially with the opening of the North Coastal Road.

“This will help fast-track the development in the North,” he said.

He revealed that most of their buyers are young professionals working in contact centers, banks, and even teachers. He said that they also have several buyers who are working abroad.

“Hennaville is an affordable, safe, decent and nurturing place to stay,” he said.

Rightly so, as with their model units one could not help but feel the homeliness of the place. They only have two Mediterranean-inspired units: Ana with a lot area of 80 sq. m. and floor area of 40 sq. m.; and Trisha with a floor area of 64 sq. m. on a 50 sq. m. lot.

All units have high ceiling and with living quarters that has a generous space to entertain guests. The rooms are quite spacious and the toilet and bathroom are divinely comfortable. Truly a warm house to build a family in.
