Purita Selma's 100th year

The Selma matriarch, Doña Purita Causin Selma, celebrated her 100th birthday last January 15 with a lavish luncheon held at the Casino Español de Cebu attended by her Cebu-based children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Those who are abroad and could not attend the gathering sent video greetings.

The party was organized by her loving daughter Inday Mingming Selma Gullas (in a fitted red blouse with sleeves over designer jeans). Doña Purita was beautiful in her red gown. Highlights of the memorable celebration were the children and grandchildren’s song and dance presentations. The lovely celebrator gamely joined the singing of some Cebuano love songs such as “Matud Nila” and “Usahay.”

The finale was an unrehearsed song from Congressman Eddie Gullas with his wife Inday Mingming. The family had fun trying to sing the song “We Are The World.” It was a beautiful celebration.
