Erik & Menchu

Surrounded by close friends and family, many of whom flew in directly from Norway, Erik, son of Trond and Hamida Nanavat Esdaile and Menchu, daughter of Antonio and Ma. Ramona “Monina” Ouano, took part in the much-awaited event. Dressed in a white beaded gown designed by Anthony Romoff, Menchu looked every inch the gorgeous bride making such an attractive match with fine looking, Erik.

This intimate wedding affair was held at the St. Joseph Parish in Mabolo, followed by a stylish cocktail and dinner reception at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel. The gentlemen sponsors were Jose Emmanuel Pacheco, Francisco Pacheco, Nerio Tan, Benito Tan, Geir Myrstad and Celestino Martinez, Jr. The ladies, all dressed in elegant brown dresses, were Ma. Immaculada Nomorosa, Cristina Tapia, Lucy Franco Garcia, Maria Louisa Bascon, Paula Robinson Myrstad and Josefina Mendoza. To complete this lovely set-up, the matrons of honor were Maryanne Legaspi and Cristina Ouano with dashing bestmen/groomsmen, Kristoffer Olsen, Trond Hillestad, Antonio Ouano, Jr., Miguel Nikolo Ouano, Kristian Fredrik Gonzalez, Miguel Angelo Pacheco, Jose Nicolas Pacheco, Carlo Sainz and Dario Commodaro Jorgensrud. Stunning maids of honour/bridesmaids were Bruna Alexandra Esdaile-Hillestad, Karen Joy Nomorosa, Carmela Teresa Pacheco, Karina Anna Nomorosa, Michaela Johanna Pacheco, Patricia Erica Pacheco, Marie Hauge and Jemima Marie Mendoza. Adding on to this list, the junior groomsmen were Lorenzo Nikolo Ouano, Franz Rafael Pacheco, Miguel Emmanuel Pacheco and Andre Paquito Pacheco together with matching junior bridesmaids, Marykris Asni, Monica Isabella Ouano and Jaeda Makayla Mendoza. The secondary sponsors were Celestino Martinez III and Ma. Theresa Monreal for the cord, Paolo Tapia and Katrina Nomorosa for the candle and Hermano Antonio Bascon and Karla Ma. Nomorosa for the veil. Showering the aisle were Leon Hillestad as the ring bearer and Jordan Page Ouano as the flower girl and Luigi Alfonso Ouano as the coin bearer. They were just absolutely the evening’s little angels!

Guests were treated to a unique presentation with the entourage procession upon entering the ballroom, fabulous speeches, exquisite dance performances, a slide show, a fun photo booth and the traditional throwing of the bouquet with a twisted, but ever so entertaining removing of the bridal garter! What an exceptional wedding spread; it was just so full of surprises! Together with a cheering crowd, this occasion was truly brilliant! As the couple danced, it was clear that they were both completely over the moon and only had eyes for each other.

As this day has brought Erik and Menchu so much joy, I only wish for more wonderful days to come for the newlyweds! Cheers to such a lovely couple and just as Norwegians would say, “SKÅL”!
