Lions Bingo Bash

- Ritche T. Salgado -

In order to raise money to fund the different outreach activities of the organization, the USC Campus Lions Club hosted the Lions Bingo Bash last November 14. The event was attended by family, friends, clients, and colleagues of the different members.

The USC Campus Lions Club was founded by USC alumnus Devin Go with exclusive membership among faculty members, alumni, and students of the University of San Carlos. Its charter was approved by the International Association of Lions Clubs on December 19, 2003.

Since its inception, the club has conducted several outreach projects, and this year, with President Tiffany Limchua at the helm, the projects included dental missions, feeding, donation of free eyeglasses, scholarship grants, diabetes detection booths, peace poster contests and the donation of talking watches and canes for the blind.

With the funds raised at the Lions Bingo Bash, the group hopes to reach more indigents in the city through sustainable and meaningful projects.

The sponsors of the event included Holiday Gym and Spa, Popular Feedmill Corp., Leisure Spa, GV Towers, Frasec Ventures, AJL Surplus and Auto Supply, Figaro Coffee Company (SM Branch), Manalili MC Parts, Daniel Carl Go, Caitlin Go, Vincent and Grace Lu, Tol and Dianitte Trajano, Christopher and Tanya Yap, Michael Yap, Kevin and Cheryl Lim, and Kings Quality Foods.
