DMI Visayas area conference

I recently attended the Visayas area conference of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate International at the Eugenia Hall of Cebu Parklane International Hotel. It carried a theme: “DMI acting with integrity, serving with love and working for peace.” Keynote speakers were Rev. Fr. Dennis Villarojo and Sis. Helen de Leon for the talk on Upliftment of Women Workers; Sis. Mide Tong on Welfare of Prisoner’s Families and their Victim; Sis. Sonia Manlapig on Morality in Media; and Sis. Mila Villanueva on Squirettes of Mary. Also present during the affair was Gloria R. Aquino, the Regent of Sto. Niño Circle of Daughters of Mary Immaculate International and Sis. Jean Velarde DMI International Regent, who gave the inspirational message.

Cres Davide recently celebrated her 84th birthday hosted by her nephew and niece Atty. Nigel Keith Davide and Denise Mae Davide Blanco. Everyone enjoyed the music and Cres got loads of greetings. Present during the gathering were City Councilor Atty. Hilario Davide III, Jobella Angan Davide, Dr. Oscar Davide, Gloria Davide, Atty. Allan Blanco, Oscar Davide, Nida Davide, Coring Valencia, Paulina Tio, Josefina Tio, Nito Flores, Jose Marie Valencia and this writer.
