CEBU, Philippines - Bidding commanders farewell is a military tradition that is full of pomp and ceremony, but then saying goodbye to generals doesn’t always have to include a military parade, most especially for alumni of the country’s premiere military institution – PMA.
Alumni and former cadets of the Philippine Military Academy got together at the parade grounds of Camp Lapu-Lapu last October 26 to bid Lt. Gen. Isagani Cachuela farewell and he bowed out of the service last November 2, two days before his 56th birthday.
The activity organized by the PMA Cebu Squad Inc. showed how the men and women in uniform can also have fun.
