Paul Smith All Bottled Up
CEBU, Philippines - One of the United Kingdom’s edgiest (and certainly one of the most colorful) designer brands, Paul Smith, combined charity, fashion and booze in one blast of
an event.
Held at the Greenbelt 5 mall right after the Rolex incident, there was no stopping the brand’s fans from contributing to the victims of Typhoon Ondoy (through the auspices of the International Red Cross) as they maxed out their credit cards while guiltlessly shopping for their latest Paul Smith fix. As the ensembles were also sold at discounted prices, it was a win-win result for the shoppers.
In attendance were leaders of the young designers’ pack Rajo Laurel and Louis Claparols, mixing with the obviously daring crowd of fashionistas. The big bang came when the sleek Evian – Paul Smith bottle was introduced, decked out in the trademark rainbow bands that’s so emblematic of Paul Smith. With French snow water coming in bottled chic, there should be no reason to suffer from fashion dehydration.
As well, new Paul Smith colognes were launched, just in time to complement the new outfits being snapped up by the crowd.
There to lend support to the quintessentially UK brand were staff of the British Embassy, and Chef Jocen Villonco made sure that the spending energy kept pumping by keeping the spread flowing. DJ Carlo Oroso came in an unmistakeably Paul Smith shirt, as he also tried to further pump up the crowd with pulsating music.
Franchise owner Juan Miguel Ongsiako, on hand to welcome the glamour guests, including Metro Home Editor in Chief Carlo Tadiar and the glitzy Tina Vitas, was like a proud father, as he beamed over the latest of his many successes.
All in all, everybody went home a winner (and most specially the Red Cross.)
