Smiley Slip-ons

High School Musical star Zach Efron got hooked, as well. So, what makes these sandals (no, these are not shoes) tick?

Sanuk was basically targeted for the surfers as creator Jeff Kelley from Southern California was a surfing diehard himself. Surfing freaks ride with the waves with their bestseller, Fur Real sandals and the rest is history. It’s this sandal that has a smiley icon – Kelley’s brainchild that he hopes to give a smile to anyone who wears ‘em.

Sidewalk Surfers

The revolutionary Sidewalk Surfer collection is the superstar these days because of the technology behind every pair. It has a shoe feature yet it functions as sandals. These are made of special hybrid adhesive that prevents toe stubbing or any walking discomfort so as to let you walk correctly and naturally. They call this “Barefoot Un-Technology” since it allows one’s foot to flex and bend freely. It has a flat sole made of yoga mats to allow one to stand erect comfortably, with back properly aligned. Because of its highly flexible capability, it can be rolled like a Maki (roll). Cool! One thing worth noting is it’s made from recycled materials! Sanuk isn’t only limited to the Surfers. It has an exciting line of streetstyle smarts – sandals/flip flops. My first Sanuk was actually a light blue-colored Capri flip flops which was apparently faced out to my dismay. It was uber comfy and having said that, it became a regular gift to friends. The embellished (studded) version of Ibiza, Monaco is a fashionista walk-around slip-ons while the 4x4 or Tweaker is a stroll buddy...and a whole lot more, actually.
