CEBU, Philippines - There is always something to look forward to every time a three-day stay-in Life in the Spirit Seminar is held.
During the last seminar for Batch 47, only six priests and only one nun participated in contrast to the previous batches, like Batch 46, wherein the serving batch had 32 priests and 12 nuns. As usual, however, philanthropist May Salazar from General Santos brought about 15 participants and paid for all their expenses including fare, and the P2, 000 registration fee (which include three-day stay at the dormitory at EcoTech Center where the seminar was held last October 15-17, and the food which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks). Mayor Rosemarie “May” Lim Imboy of Loay, Bohol, who is also known by the members of the Oasis of Love as the dancing mayor, as she is also a member of the dancing ministry, sponsored 10 participants, mostly from Lite Shipping, the shipping company she and her family owns.
For about five occasions, there were a couple of Protestants and pastors from other religious groups who participated, as membership of the Oasis of Love is not limited only to Catholics. — Kriss E. Relatado
