This month, Oh! will launch the 18 Pillars of Filipino Cuisine, featuring 18 Filipino favorites in its varied regional flavors, like the adobo, which will be served in four different varieties: adobo ilustrado (chicken with liver spread and cooked in red wine and wine vinegar with a dash of spices), adobo chinoy (pork liempo cooked in rice wine and soy sauce and laced with all kinds of spices), adobong Batangas (beef cooked in vinegar and fish sauce, spiced with yellow ginger and turmeric), and the adobong Bicol (pork ribs cooked in coconut milk, soy sauce and white vinegar, with a touch of chili).

The dishes are available all day, and the menu has everything that one would need for any particular meal or time. There are breakfast fares, salads (ensalada cuadro and the Pampanga trio), soups (nilaga and sinigang), noodles, meat dishes, vegetable dishes, and yes, desserts, which can either be the panghimagas quinto (that’s five different sweets) or the pampalamig trio espesyal.

An indication of the hotel’s direction towards becoming Mactan Island’s next event venue is the Al Fresco Bar, open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. With live bands playing till the wee hours of the day, beer and pulutan at a very affordable price, and with no entrance fee, you would not just be partying all night, but would really be getting the value for your money.
