USC - BHS class '84 Silver Jubilee Celebration and the STC Batch 89 Platinum Reunion

The University of San Carlos Boy’s High School Class of 1984 had a blast when they converged and celebrated their Silver Jubilee. It was a 2–day event last July 17 and 18, 2009. 

The memorable gathering which was planned for more than a year, kicked-off with a campus tour on the first day, right after everyone registered. As expected, all of them rekindled their unforgettable memories both “bad” and good from way back school days. Thereafter, a Holy Mass of thanksgiving and a special prayer at the school chapel for their departed batch mates took place. Good food, fun and laughter not to mention the never ending jamming with the live band ended the night. Of course, all of them sang the USC Hymn together before parting ways, all looking forward to another day ahead of them.  

The second and the final day of the reunion was a day at the beach  where the fun from the previous night continued ‘til sunset. All of the silver jubilarians brought with them their respective families at the Gallego’s Beach Resort in Talisay and enjoyed to the fullest the exciting games, karaoke showdown 

Kudos to the USC BHS Class 1984 set of officers headed by Adrian Y. Reynes, President; Marlo Raffinan and Arthur Sanchez Vice Presidents; Ruben Gallego, Secretary; Frederick Gabas, Treasurer; Wilson Mack and Kenneth Eustaquio, Sgt. At Arms and Manuel Sy Jr., Auditor. Congratulations to you all! It was worth it all!

St. Theresa’s College High School Class of 1989 celebrated their 20th grand homecoming last July 25, 2009 at the STC grounds. There was a class picture taking, followed by a program where three representatives from class ‘89 in the persons of Cheryl Arnan-Ligutom, Christine Inocencio-Aldeguer and Maricar Ong presented a folk dance in lieu of this year’s theme which is the zarzuela.

Class of 1989 platinum celebrators then proceeded to Brother’s Burger at BTC for a get together dinner hosted by the batch and Maricel Martinez-Maniquis. Exchanging of pleasantries continued at Formo where 80s music rocked the house in party mood. Congratulations!
