Award for Girlie de Guia
It was a memorable affair to remember: the 14th Grand Chamber Awards of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) held at the Ayala Center Cebu Cinema – one of the highlights of the Cebu Business Month.
Socorro de Guia, the president of Royal Oaks International School and Larmen de Guia Memorial College, received an award as Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year. Royal Oaks International School is a premier academic institution operating in the cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Dumaguete. Aloguinsan recently celebrated its Kinsan Festival. The festival celebration started with a river cruise using the traditional baroto at the Bojo River. Municipal Mayor Cynthia Moreno and Governor Gwen Garcia spearheaded the launching of the Bojo River Eco-cultural tour. Boboi R. Costas is the project director of Bojo River Ecotourism Development Project.
CSCST-MC Intrams
In preparation for the CSCST satellite schools sports meet scheduled this coming sem break, the CSCST main campus celebrated its annual Intramurals a month earlier than usual. Intrams kicked-off last week with the Mister and Miss Intramurals pageant and cheerdance competition in the afternoon of July 20. Five units represented by the different college departments vied for the win.
After the five-day event, Unit IV represented by the Engineering department bagged the most gold medals, winning first place. Unit II of the Industrial Technology department finished second and Unit I of the Education department finished third.
The gold medalists will have to prepare for the satellite schools meet to be held at the CSCST Danao campus.

E-Mall’s Ultimate Danze Fever Season IV
Elizabeth Mall’s Ultimate Danze Fever raved dance groups and fans at the entertainment center. Elimination rounds held last July 12 and 19 finally catapulted top performing groups to a grand season finale last Sunday. Group appeal, showmanship and originality determined the winners with the Hot Flesh Dancers emerging as victors. Type One won second and Unlimited Hip Hop finished third.
