All Flights Lead to Cebu For Believe

CEBU, Philippines - All flights will be leading to Cebu on the last weekend of July for the premiere of the theatrical event BELIEVE, the inspirational pop musical.

Set for July 24 and 25 at Onstage Cinema One of the Ayala Center Cebu, BELIEVE is presented by One World Of Music And Light Event Services and KAHAYAG Network of Cancer Support Groups, with the latter as the beneficiary.

KAHAYAG is a group that has served cancer survivors, their families and caregivers for the past 5 years with FREE workshops, retreats and counseling sessions with the vision of meaningful lives for cancer patients and their caregivers. 

The last made-in-Cebu musical to premiere in this city known for very talented and musical artists was the 2007 production of Siddharta, the Musical Journey to Enlightenment, based on the life of Gautama Buddha.

Conceptualized and directed by Bill Ramos and Marq Dollentes, BELIEVE promises to inspire, uplift, heal and empower through stories and songs of Faith, Hope, Love, Joy and Courage. The powerful messages are expressed through the gifts and artistry of a powerhouse cast composed of Isabella, Keith Martin, Radha, Guji Lorenzana, Marq Dollentes, Cebu’s Benjie Layos and Mae Ann Araneta with the special participation of Ballet Center Cebu, Figures of Citigym, Lorraine Dytian, Gio Villanueva, Kristin Lara & Christine Bea Angan.

The popular songs that will be featured are given whole new meanings through the characters that they play and how we relate to them and to the music. BELIEVE features fresh and new arrangements by Bob Aves, Naldy Rodriguez, Bond Samson, Obette del Rosario and Keith Martin of the songs we know and love.

BELIEVE is endorsed by the Department of Trade and Industry through the efforts of Cebu DTI Provincial Director, Nelia Navarro. In line with promoting the creative industries of Cebu, the show would feature the beautiful creations of Jun Escario, Protacio, Sal Malto, Butch Carungay and Kenneth Cobonpue.

With the musical having its premiere in Cebu, BELIEVE also hopes to promote more tourists to the premier beach holiday destination.

BELIEVE is co-presented by Cebu City Marriott Hotel, PAGCOR, Alcordo Advertising and the National Commission for Culture & The Arts with Wings Travel & Tours as the official travel agency.
