Celebrating 20 years of Wellness

Ruiz Derma started way back in April 20, 1989 when the late cosmetic surgeon Dr. Fe Mantua Ruiz established Ruiz Derma Clinic at the ground floor of their house in Mambaling with a P5,000 capital. The business grew and soon, three branches were established, one in SM City Cebu (1994), another in Ayala Center Cebu (2001) and at the Marina Mall (2004). Ruiz Derma also set up a teaching facility, the Ruiz Beauty & Healthcare Training Institute in 2003. Ruiz Derma is now considered a pioneering home-grown derma clinic chain in Cebu.

When Dr. Fe passed away last July 15, 2006, her children, John, Dana and Cynthia assumed management positions to continue their mom’s legacy. This year, the siblings preferred to celebrate Ruiz Derma’s 20th anniversary closer to their mom’s third death anniversary – last July 14 at the Asian Hall of Cebu Grand Majestic Convention Center in Archbishop Reyes Avenue with customers, partners and friends.

Surgical and Medical Operations Manager Dr. Dana Ruiz-Sesante said “Twenty years spells a lot of things for us. It means survival amidst a fierce competition. It means gratefulness to our customers in Cebu for their unflinching trust and patronage, and to our staff for their dedication and discipline. It means a promise and our willingness to survive another 20 years and beyond.”

To celebrate their 20th year anniversary, Ruiz Derma has a month-long promo in which loyal patrons can avail of 20 percent discount on selected services such as the Ruiz Derma’s Fruity Facials, salon services and body massages. For P2,000 worth of services, Ruiz Derma will also give gift items.

According to Dr. Sesante, the derma clinic’s facial treatments never fail to impress clients especially with its fruity facials that use organic products. Ruiz Derma also offers skin treatment services such as Glutathione injectibles, skin whitening, bleaching and peeling, dermalift and diamond peel. There’s also the Derma Roller that treats acne scars. To ensure optimum derma care, Ruiz Derma hired licensed doctors, nurses and trained staff to meet the needs of the clients and use high-tech sterilized equipment for safety and accuracy.
