Weddings and Beyond: Recapturing the Ormocanon Artistry

CEBU, Philippines – Elegant. Grandiose. Royal. Regal. These are just a few of the many words that describe this year’s biggest and grandest bridal fashion show and exhibit in Ormoc City, Leyte, which was held recently at the New Ormoc City Astrodome.

The bridal fair and fashion show, dubbed as “Weddings and Beyond: Recapturing the Ormocanon Artistry,” showcased the different fashion styles and designs that reflect the cultures and traditions of Ormoc in wedding ceremonies. The event, which was produced by Bong’s Wedding Essentials & More and sponsored by Psalmstre Enterprises, featured the designs of Lemuel Rosos, who is, at the same time, the creative director of the fashion show and Ormoc City’s very own Bong Allosa, the proprietor-manager of Bong’s Wedding Essentials & More.

Promising ramp models from Cebu and Manila, headlined by Sagwan’s Dennis Torres, Ms. Mandaue 2008 runner-up Hyacinth Diva Mantalaba and Southwestern University Bb. Siglakas 2009 Jo-ann Delima, as well as Ormoc amateur models graced the runway. Mr. Cebu finalist Joseph Christian Hornido and Ginoong Omoc 2008 Sigfred Schmidt were also part of the show.
