Not minding the early call time: 11:00 a.m., Rotarians, spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente with the Rotary Club of Banilad Metro, Rotary Club of Cebu Business District, Rotary Club of Cebu Capitol North and Rotary Club of Cebu Guadalupe, all trooped to the studio of ABS-CBN in Jagobiao, Mandaue for a heart-warming and noble cause, one Saturday morning.
The Rotarians with their partners in service, the Rotaractors from the Rotaract Clubs of Cebu Fuente, STI-Cebu Chapter, USC, SWU-Vet. Division, CITE and STC gamely and willingly joined the ABS-CBN game show Kapamilya Winner Ka to raise funds for children with cancer of Kythe Foundation housed at the Cebu Cancer Institute of Perpetual Succour Hospital. All the Rotarians and Rotaractors joined the game show of ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Winner Ka and taped the show until 6:00 p.m.
If you happened to watch that particular episode on TV, I'm sure that you will agree with me that it was really an enjoyable experience considering how some of them couldn't answer simple questions. Well, maybe they were just conscious with all those spot lights and cameras around them. But more than anything else, all the funds raised during the show were turned over to the children with cancer of the Kythe Foundation at the Cebu Cancer Institute of Perpetual Succour Hospital who would need the funds for their chemo therapies and medications. Such a laudable Christian act, AMEN to that!
