CEBU, Philippines - Two o’clock at Marco Polo Plaza is tea o’clock, as the hotel celebrates the elegant art of tea drinking as perfected by the English. Invited guests will grace the afternoon to give talks on a diverse range of topics that would include Cebu’s society happenings and tips on life and living.

Enjoy a rich concoction of tea, be it hot or cold, clean or spiked, the possibilities are endless as Marco Polo partners with Twinnings of London to give only the best and the most robust of tea concoctions.

To make the experience more delectable, Marco Polo’s team of creative chefs will be coming up with set merienda menus and mouthwatering delicacies that will complement your drink.

Last May 15, Tea O’clock was launched with Associated British Food’s Vivian Quiangco as guest speaker. Vivian gave a talk on Tea Appreciation, dwelling on the basics of tea drinking and giving the audience a backgrounder on how tea is produced. She also briefly touched on tea-food pairings, of which guests were also invited to experience with the different merienda treats that the hotel’s chefs specially prepared for the occasion.
