CEBU, Philippines – In one of his recent trips to Cebu, French Ambassador to the Philippines Thierry Borja de Mozota was the guest of French Consul in Cebu Michel Lhuillier. At a press conference hosted by Consul Lhuillier held at Pino’s now the “resto in town”, Spanish Consul Jaime Picornell was also present. Businesswoman Mariquita Yeung who had a guest from Hong Kong with her retinue of ladies, who were also lunching at Pino, met with the Ambassador and his Press Attache Carolle Lucas. The affable and “very gentleman” Ambassador de Mozota obliged himself to pose with the ladies, and this drew a lot of ohs and ahs thereafter. Cool!

From Kansas City. Congratulations are in order to our dear friends, the new grandparents, Boyd and Emma Ornopia who were so excited when daughter Daisy Carlson gave birth to a robust boy who looks like his Dad Steve Carlson. This is the first child of the Carlsons since they got married five years ago. The baby was born in Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center, Thousand Oaks, California. Named Ian Parker (Scottish) Ornopia Carlson, the baby was six pounds, seven ounces and 18 inches long when delivered normally by Daisy’s obstetrician Dr. Stacy Fine. So last week, Steve and Daisy invited friends and relations to their Newbury Park home to announce the arrival of Ian Parker and to welcome him into the Christina world.

The young couple actually moved to Newbury Park, California two years ago since Steve had to take care of their church as the young Pastor.

Now that Emma has a grandson (Daisy is an only child in the family), she might as well stay with Daisy’s family in California while husband Boyd stays in Kansas – popularly known as “Dorothy’s Home”!
