My New Year's Resolution
My New Year’s resolution for 2009 is basically is to be closer to my family, change the bad habits and qualities in me, and for the most part, be more closer to God.
I realize that in the past I haven’t really had a close relationship with my family. I always hang out with my friends. Also, I know that I do have bad qualities and I guess many of us do, too but it is hard for us to admit. I know my closest friends would agree but I’m working on it.
I really do count myself lucky to be born into a Christian family. Though, I may not have taken God seriously in the past or even now, but I’m becoming aware of God and I’m starting to have faith that I can go through life even if I fail because nothing is ever beyond God.

The main thing is to go into the New Year with the right outlook and view it as a lifestyle change, not just a temporary program with a quick turnaround. And with the ongoing global crisis, making a commitment to a healthier lifestyle together with my family is more important now than ever. Hopefully, tackling this commitment together with my family greatly improves the success of this resolution.

It has been awhile since I made my New Year's Resolution. After my diagnosis of breast cancer in 2004, each day that I am alive is a blessing. I take each day one at a time.
My New Year's Resolution are mostly health related:
to exercise
to go on a diet
to participate in my 1st Fun Run
to have my clinical tests this January which were postponed since September because of my busy schedule.

My new year's resolution is to live life simpler. I believe that living life less complicated will make you contented and happier. Doing things which make you happy will give you inner peace. And I shall not regret for things I did, but rather for things I did not do.““

New year for me is a time to reflect, to deeply think of what we did wrong and learn from it. It's about continuing to nurture the good relationships we have with people that matters most to our hearts ( FAMILY and GOOD FRIENDS ). To love more each coming day and be loved in return is the key to a happier and peaceful life...

My New Year's Resolution for 2009 would most definitely be to hit the gym and get back into shape, exercise regularly. It’s my number one priority at my stage in my life to spend quality time with my three growing kids. This entails or requires a lot of my physical endurance and strength to cope up with their every need. I want to be part of their everyday life with no physical restrictions.

My New Year’s Resolution for 2009 is to be more healthy. I need to shed 10 to 15 pounds so that I can be on my average weight ratio again. Hopefully I can turn my back on fastfood….those yummy burgers and fries. Huhuhu! Eat less super delicioso lechon and my fave street food balut.

My life and family’s lives are great and we enjoy every minute of it. But then we are facing GLOBAL CRISIS so I have to make changes with my priorities in my life… like my family, business, lifestyle, friends and charity works so I can balance my way of living.

For years now I have been aware of the power behind saying “yes” to the present moment. Because what could be more futile, more insane than to create inner resistance to something that already is. When one says yes to traffic, long lines, and other unmet expectations, there will be no need to accuse blame, attack, defend, or justify oneself.
Easier said than done. Every now and then, I falter. But there is a promise here. When one yields, meaning inner acceptance to what is, two great benefits are for the taking. It slows down aging process and strengthens the immune system. And so, for year 2009, I press on.

I have never been succesful with any of my previous new year's resolutions. My initial steely resolve gradually gives in to the desires of the flesh...like not eating junk food and giving up soda. I think I'm better off praying for world peace instead...Excuse me, my bag of Cheetos is calling me...

We always try to make the coming year better than the last. So we come up with these resolutions to try and correct bad habits and start the new year right. For next year, I will really make an effort to work harder and manage time more efficiently. This way, I would be able to devote more attention to family and activities that I would really like to do -- going to the gym and playing golf.

New Year is synonymous with fresh start, bright dreams and new aspirations. So for 2009, I hope to be more patient, organized, focused and be able to realize my business plans. I will also strive to spend more wisely and make more time for my family.

I would want to be more productive and time conscious for the year 2009. For the past few years, I tend to entertain thoughts of procrastination and end up rushing to beat the deadline. It’s about time that I change this attitude and make the most of what I have and what I can do.
