Halloween in America

Aside from Thanksgiving, Halloween is also a celebrated day in America. A lot of people, young and old, wear colorful costumes in the malls, in airline offices, in supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, etc.

As the sun sets, children in our neighborhood start going house to house in different colorful costumes – some costumes are scary, some are animal costumes, while others don costumes of their favorite cartoon characters. Children bring with them colorful paper bags, baskets or pumpkin bags as they collect candies from each home. Parents usually accompany their children and even bring with them video cameras to record the activities of their young ones, especially those aged one to five. But there are also teenagers who just want to go with the crowd, enjoying every bit of their tour around the villages.

I took some pictures of the children who came to the house in their colorful costumes. We surely had fun watching the children go trick or treating.
