Product Excellence Awards

It’s that time of year when the stars come out for an evening of accolades from their peers and fans. They converge in one venue to walk the carpet and pose for photographers. No, I’m not talking about the Oscars or the Grammy’s but I am referring to stars. Well, they are stars in there own way, so to speak.

Once again the best of the best in commerce and industry, gathered for an affair of good food and cheers as they celebrated another milestone in their respective enterprise, the National Product Quality Excellence Awards (NPQEA) 2008. The Caspian Hall of the Cebu Waterfront Hotel was filled with shared enthusiasm as immediate past president of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Robert Go, opened the program welcoming all the awardees and lauded them for their continuous efforts of proving to the world that Filipino products can be of global quality. Guest speaker, Dr. Veronica Abangan also shared a few secrets to success managing her award-winning Sto. Niño Review Center.

Then, it was time to hand-out the trophies. No, they were not gold statuettes but certainly as valuable. Congratulations to all the honorees and the award-giving committee for another successful year.
