I have always insisted and passed on to all friends and little nieces the significance of the love for jewelry. Nothing is more important, speaking as a woman, than learning the value of those sparkly little things that make us all the more beautiful. And in this day and age, creative minds have found a thousand and one ways to package metals and stones in amazing designs.

So when Michelis opened their jewelry store in SM last September 26, it was no big surprise when a number of Cebu’s stylish denizens came and satisfied their curiosities of what future purchases they’ll make in the name of fashion. True enough, we were impressed by what greeted us inside those clear glass cases. When fads come and go and hot picks of the season become faux pas, it’s absolutely necessary to always have something classic (maybe a piece or 2) in your wardrobe, or in this case, your jewelry box, which you can match with almost anything. And that is what Michelis is all about. It brings us something elegant mixed with a twist of modern, without needing to worry about being called a passé. Everyone invited certainly arrived dressed to perfection. Scrumptious cocktails and wines were served. I’m afraid a couple of us went home slightly inebriated and a tad bit giddy from all the glitz, glamour and lovely social drinking of the occasion. The fabulous people of Michelis did not stop at entertaining us with yummy food and drinks but gave us beautiful little pieces of their jewelry to remember them by. So I guess it’s safe to say everybody went home with smiles on their faces and little goodie bags in their hands.
