Betty's Valedictory at Zonta II Induction

The Zonta Club of Cebu II had its club installation and induction ceremonies at the Granada Room of Casino Español de Cebu last August 5.

Before the induction of officers and directors, outgoing president Betty Young delivered her valedictory address, so detailed that she enumerated everything during her two-year term with a compendium of activities and accomplishments. But most remarkable was the founding of baby club Zonta Club Bohol, which was truly outstanding.

But the biggest record was PP Betty’s trip to Rotterdam, Netherlands where she and some seven members attended the Zonta International Convention. With her were: Jane Llaban, Elena Young, Flor Miel, Cynthia Dagus, Elsa Basubas and Filna Espina. For her, attending an international convention enriches one’s knowledge in running a civic or service club and is a learning experience, too.

The special guests during the induction were Dist. Gov. Narudee Kiengsiri, who was so impressed with the proceedings and lauded the Zonta Club of Cebu II for a job well done; Lt. Gov. Georgita “Bing” Puyat, and Area Director Sandra Gomez.

Real estate developers gathered at the SM City Cebu last August 13 for the “First Cebu Real Estate Expo 2008.” The one week event featured the real estate projects and services of the leading developers in the country, and in Cebu.
