Cowrie Cove Features Cebu's First Ever Ice Party Today

To usher in the cool season, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu hosts the island’s first ever Ice Party today at the Cowrie Cove. The Chill-out bar will be transformed into an ice bar with an Ice Luge drinking sculpture, special vodka-based cocktails such as Hypothermia, Mango Avalanche, Arctic Blast and Chilly Monkey; a fashion show featuring the resort collection of Dino Lloren, and house music from guest DJ Cocoy Puyat of Manila’s Velvet Mafia.

Cocoy Puyat is one of the country’s pioneering DJs, having been in the Manila music scene for the last 20 years. His brand of music is predominantly House, with some soul, progressive, tribal, techno and funk thrown in his mixes. Puyat has played in the top clubs in the Philippines, having held DJ residencies at Joy, Fidel, Bed Malate, The Basement, DTM, Ascend, Alchemy, Liquid in Davao, and Aria in Boracay. He has also teamed up with international DJ luminaries such as Derrick May, Laurent Garnier and Doc Martin, to name a few.

Just like Cowrie Cove’s previous Full Moon parties, the Ice Party is sure to thrill Cebu’s partygoers with its distinct concept of a weekend al fresco party with an unparalleled sea view inside the country’s leading deluxe resort property, as well as cool giveaways: from overnight accommodations at the resort, limited edition Giselle Bundchen flip-flops from Brazilian brand Ipanema, and welcome vodka shooters from Smirnoff and Diageo.
