Queen of Stone Spa inaugurated

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor S. YNCLINO -

Bruited to be first in the country, Queen of Stone SPA was blessed and inaugurated last April 26 at its site in St. Patrick’s Square, Ramon Aboitiz St., a stone’s throw from the Redemptorist Church.

Guests of honor during the opening were Norma Uysiuseng and Christine U. Dino with the proprietress Jessielyn Abueva Sato assisting. Fr. Bill sprinkled holy water all over the place. After which, in lieu of coin tossing as part of the traditional rites, a different concept was introduced by Jessielyn - the giving of three crisp P100 bills to each guest for good luck. Everyone was surprised of the tradition Jessielyn brought from Japan.

According to Jessielyn who lived in Japan since she was 15 years old, she avails of the Stone Spa anytime to fight off fatigue, stress and many other discomforts and diseases.

Since the SPA is applicable to all ages, she suggested during the presscon that for kids between 7-15, who are more often than not, stuck to their computers and gameboys, to try this to maintain active brain cells, and for teens from 15-25, the SPA can work wonders on the complexion.

Should you wish to sustain your youthful looks, men and women from ages 28-40 can have it. And for senior citizens and those who have just recuperated from strokes or paralysis, ages 50-90, the SPA’s therapeutic effects can work miracles!

An astute entrepreneur, Jessielyn runs Cinderella Travel and Tours in Cebu, a hotel and restaurant in Japan, and now the Queen of Stone SPA (which her brother Jeremy Abueva manages) that she ventured into, to help persons of all ages and occupations to nature’s bounty...STONE and WATER! By the way, Glenn Magsaysay did the interiors of the SPA... cool and beautiful and the antique pieces displayed and antique furniture are from Nene Treveño.
