Makan’s Grand Opening

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ortiz invited me to the grand opening of Makan Asian Cuisine. The new beautiful dining place is located at SM City Cebu.

Senator and Mrs. Miguel Zubiri were the guests of honor. Makan’s specialty is Asian cuisine with Thai spices and typical food particularly Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay and Singaporean. Favorite dishes include Caran (fish served with Vietnamese sauce), Chili Crab, Satay Lilit, Makan sampler, Roti, Crispy Squid, Baked Scallops, Charsiew Pork, Fried Wanton Parcels, Popiah, Thai Spring Roll, Hainanese Chicken, Ayam Bakar, Chicken in Red Curry Sauce, Makan Fried Chicken, Beef Rondang, Sweet Soy Beef, Grilled Porkchop, Babi Asam, Deep-fried Pork Ribs, Deep-fried Pork Ribs with Honey and Garlic sauce.

The opening ceremony of Weddings at Marco Polo Plaza is slated today, April 26, 10 AM at the Grand Ballroom. Among the highlights of the event is a Fashion Show tomorrow featuring the bridal collection of the Fashion Council of Cebu to be held at the lobby of this plush hotel at 6PM.
