Now, how much more if you have in your hand a cellular phone that allows you to edit and does special effects to your photos, enables you to blog and come up with a slide how of your images, right in your palm? Admit it, we love to photograph ourselves. This is another addiction next to cellular phones.

Enter K850i and K770i, commonly known as the Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot phones—stylish, equipped, high tech and reliable——you don’t have to worry with deadlines and backlog because it’s all in your hands now in a matter of touch. Lifestyle, business and technology writers from Cebu held the answer since they had a taste of modernity in a demo show handled by the firm’s marketing guys from Manila at YO.U resto bar along Mango Avenue last January 11. They did not only watch and listen, they also touched and took snapshots of themselves and of their friends using the latest offering of Sony Ericsson. It is now available in the company’s concept shops and authorized dealers nationwide.

K850i boasts of a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus,  16x digital zoom and Xenon flash, so it really gives you awesome camera results. It has  a Photo Fix feature that automatically corrects light balance to give you an excellent picture. If you take a photo of a moving object, you can choose BestPic where you take nine pictures in a single shot. This way you can choose the best and discard the rest. The shot of your choice can be saved for picture and video blogging.

“The lens cover retracts automatically with one press of the camera button and a new mode selector lets you switch quickly between camera, video and picture viewing modes. The regular phone keyboard also has a dual purpose; switch to camera mode and illuminated icons indicate which keys act as short-cuts for the digital zoom and other functions,” the corporate pr guided press people in operating the gadget that night.

Aside from the fact that its “ touch screen,” K850i is truly a companion especially to those who love remembering special moments as it features  automatic postcard creation, slideshow with music and a PictBridge that allows you to print pictures taken directly from a printer. It tells you what month the pictures are taken, gives you the choice to view pictures in thumbnail size or in full picture mode. Featuring a “new scratch resistant crystal display” this cyber-shot phone gives you flawless clarity viewing through its 2.2-inch screen. It goes without saying that it can be operated almost anywhere with high speed- Net connections. Sending e-mail through K850i is already a given.

Meanwhile the Sony Ericsson K770i can also be called the chic and sassy mobile phone and multimedia performer with its dashing 14.5mm Truffle Brown body. It proudly features a 3.2-megapixel camera, auto focus, digital zoom and LED photo light, where you can print pictures up to A4 size. It comes with a 256 MB Memory Stick Micro card that allows you to save as many as 200 best quality photos. For a quick glimpse of images you can come up with slide show or blog respectively.

“Ease of use is a hallmark of the Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot phones. For the K770i, just slide open the lens cover and the phone immediately switches to camera mode. The 1.9 inch screen becomes the viewfinder, the Cyber-shot menu become visible and you’ll also see eight lit icons appear across the phones keypad. These serve as 1-click shortcuts to each of the camera’s key functions, such as picture size and photo light. Select Photo fix for PC-free photo editing on your phone,” the corporate pr enticed.

Like its sister K850i, the K770i also has an FM rROVINGadio, it allows you to email, make video calls and do web surfing. There are a lot more trendsetting features that K8501 and K7701 offer. It is only a matter of touch and click.
