Actually, many Filipinos are expecting that Korean restaurants are expensive and classy.
It’s not true.
There are so many famous restaurants in Korea, but not because they are big or well decorated or expensive.
Some are very small and look not so clean but always crowded with people who are waiting for vacant seats. Usually, this kind of restaurant is from one generation to the next. They look old because thay are old.
In addition, there is a foul-mouthed grandma(usually the owner is an old woman who treats customers as her son or daughter, that’s why she speaks frankly and receives much affection) and dishes that are delicious, making people’s mouth water by the mere sight of them.
This is really true Korean culture which nobody knows, unless they have been to Korea.
These days, Korean dishes are getting varied and evolving. They call it “fusion food.”What is fusion food? Simply saying, it’s mixing the food of different countries. Koreans use many vegetables and rice cake with spicy sauce, while western countries use cheese and butter with creamy sauce. What if these are mixed? The fresh and new taste of Korean cuisine and Koreans love it. Here is one example of Korean fusion food.
