With just a few more days before the year’s most-awaited event, one couldn’t help but think of the various and necessary things to wear and to bring. Sticky sweats, the sun’s rays, and the pushes and pulls of the massive crowd: these are just what you’re going to expect the moment you are making your way into the city’s lanes. Take it or leave it: the festivity could be as enjoyable as can be if you’re armed with the essential things needed throughout the day. Street parties, fireworks display, henna tattoos, the grand parade: the excitement would linger as long as you’re all set to undergo the height of the Sinulog craze. Prepare to dash and roll, smile and shout and dance to the beat as we provide you the vital things needed for this anticipated celebration.
1. White Means “Comfort”
A bunch of ladies and gents would gussy up and would style in the best way they can. Allow me to give you the much-desired color for the day: WHITE. Extreme as the sun’s rays would be, this wouldn’t bother much considering that while brushes off heat. Glamour up and look good with any fashionable outfit but make sure it is white. You don’t want to be stuck in a throng of spectators and onlookers feeling uncomfortable and sweaty.

The in-thing these days! Skinny Jeans! The Sinulog Festival would indeed attract thousands of crowd, not to mention pickpockets, swindlers, snatchers and shoplifters. Evil lurks in all corners so beware and be on guard. This bunch of hooligans would feast on each bling you have, any cash you own and every valuable you possess. Wearing skinny jeans could in one way or another protect you from those clumsy hands and creeping fingers. As advised by my friend, the tighter your jeans the better.
3. The Sun Shade Power
Caps and hats, sunglasses and shades: brace yourself to be greeted by a multitude of colors flooding the street. People could sport plain caps or striped hats, sexy shades or “bee” sunglasses. But why not fuse them into one and bring a big and dainty umbrella! This would shield you off from the sun’s rays and heat. You could even accommodate your friends with you and thus, take pleasure in your long walks and giggles as you venture your way along the city streets.
