On Fashion and Two Birthdays

It was an intimate luncheon when Ferkin Global Unlimited’s Sonny Pollescas treated a handful of friends to celebrate his birthday with him that day. What a coincidence when we learned that one of the guests, the brilliant and soft-spoken Thess Olivares would be celebrating hers, too, the day after. As a result, both of them were made to blow the same birthday cake! Happy Birthday to you guys! Cheers and God bless!

And I bet, the men, too! Well, who doesn’t want to look good and feel good especially during this season? Here’s good news...

Loalde is one of the local brands that Cebuanos can truly be proud of, not only because of its world-class quality and style, but also because of its reasonable prices.  Loalde recently unveiled their holiday collection in the racks of their Ayala Center Cebu and SM boutiques, as well as at the different leading department stores. The angelic and soft-spoken Loalde Ayala boutique manager, Chelo Villegas-Completo quips: “Riding in gray fashion tide of Fall 2007, Loalde showcases our version of rich chiffon satin, silk fabrics and fine cotton knits with virtuoso sewing skills resulting to a remarkable quality of the products. A few plum and reds are thrown in to the holiday harvest joining the neutrals that are staple colors of Loalde all year round.”

So, there you are. Looking great this season isn’t a worry anymore and, yes,  for gift-giving, too. Do drop by any Loalde outlet and see for yourselves what I’m talking about. Happy shopping!

Talking about fashion, a couple of weeks ago, the ultra fashionable beauty salon, Xsalon at the 2nd floor of Northgate Center in Banilad, celebrated their 5th anniversary with cocktails from 12noon ‘til a little past 7 in the evening that day with all their valued clients as guests. That day, too, different anniversary special packages were offered which indeed was a hit and made the staff busy as a bee due to the doubled or even tripled influx of customers who wanted to avail of the discounts from hot oil treatment, hair color, diamond peel and what have you! The ever-gracious owner, Lalaine Porras-Espiritu wasn’t spared, too, but it never hindered her for wearing those expensive 3-inch stilletos, moving from one corner to the other. Though she had to excuse herself late that afternoon to catch her flight to Manila for her A.I.M. weekend class, she made sure everyone was entertained and everything in place. Congratulations!
