Erik Mana’s Magic

At eight years old, Erik Mana has been already practicing his craft, honing his skills and perfecting an art form that only a very few selected people can do. He had his first exposures on 1989, through writing, designing and performing first in nightclubs, college circuits and corporate events in Toronto, Canada. Erik Mana’s passion for magic, human condition, hypnosis and all things bizarre and mystical has now left audiences in the United States of America, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Dubai, Qatar, Singapore and Malaysia astounded and wanting for more.  

In 2001, Erik moved back to his homeland here in the Philippines and since then, he has taken the country by storm with his own brand of magic and mayhem. A member of the world’s oldest and most prestigious magic society – The Society of American Magicians (S.A.M.), whose members include Harry Houdini, Harry Blackstone Jr., Howard Thurston, Lance Burton and David Copperfield, Erik Mana’s unique and masterful skills in the art of illusion, sleight of hand, hypnosis, pick pocketing and mentalism have garnered him the title of “The Philippine’s Premier Magician.” 

On July 23, 2004, ABS CBN’s Studio 23 aired Erik Mana’s first ever independent Filipino produced television special entitled “STRANGER – The Magic of Erik Mana.” This one-hour magic special marked the beginning of a new brand of Filipino entertainment taking magic and reality TV to new and greater heights. STRANGER became an overnight success showcasing magic that was never seen before or performed by any other magician in the world. Erik Mana single-handedly changed the face of Filipino television on that night. 

On November 11 and 18, 2005, the long awaited sequel to “STRANGER” finally arrived. “MASTERMIND” was a two-part special that explored the darker side of magic and delved into the mysteries of the supernatural, mind control, ghosts and a frightening experiment with a videotape. In true Erik Mana fashion, MASTERMIND continued to break new grounds in Filipino television production with amazing new illusions and wizardry. 

Since the airings of his popular TV specials, tidal waves of responses have been created by adoring fans, artists, celebrities, world leaders, major international TV networks and some of the world’s most powerful corporations including Nokia, Panasonic, Suzuki, Hewlett Packard, McDonald’s and Hershey’s, to name a few. And for the very first time, Erik Mana will finally be performing for the Cebuano crowd this month.
