Samsung style watch at the Waterfront: The Future Looks Bright

The future, well, the near future, looks bright. Most specifically, Summer 2008, fashionwise, has been pegged down by 14 designers from Clothes for Life as they unveil their Summer 2008 Forecast. It will be on the opening day of the Samsung Style Watch at the Waterfront, August 24, 2007 at the cavernous Pacific Grand Ballroom.
Consider names like Protacio, Edwin Ao, Marichu Tan, Ren Manabat, Ray Kuan, Wendell Quisido, Joy Bernaldez, Salvador Malto, Edwin Alba, Humberto Villegas, Bryan Aloquin, Alain Fonte, Harley Ruedas and Cary Santiago and you have more than an 80-piece collection subdivided into four dominant forecast for next summer.

Refined Tenderness is retro-ish with a modern twist. It is relaxed but sophisticated in a washed out pastel palette. Exotic City is inspired by the impenetrable ancient forest with dark summer tints complemented with exotic colors like orange and bright green. Its details include primitive flower patterns translated into graphic color patches in a modern vision. Colorful Science is techno derived and is considered extremely high fashion with new volumes and modernistic materials. It is, artificial meets the organic. Neutral Grounds denote neutral non-colors simulating life in an abandoned desert and sand flats. It utilizes natural and raw materials in rustic delicate places. Furthermore, it is contemporary and casual eschewing modern day non-color essentials like sand, beige, gray with subtle accents of faded pastels.

Indeed, all roads lead to the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino as the 3-day Samsung Style Watch at the Waterfront shows gather 40 designer names including Manila’s fashion pillars and world renowned Monique Lhuillier and 50 plus runway mannequins from Cebu and Manila directed by Jackie Aquino. All shows are open to the public and start at 7:30p.m. nightly.
