Classic pieces that suggest a comeback of clean lines and a touch of décolleté to suggest a stylish elegance and simplicity is the new statement for men and women who love to dress up, be comfortable and confident on what he/she is wearing.

The recent fashion show held at the Fashion TV Café in the International Academy of Film and Television, Mactan island, presented the 2007 Evening Collection of Bergamo, one of the most sought-after apparel for men, and Cebu’s  well loved designing lady, Arcy Gayatin. Both showcased a select set of fine pieces that reminded everyone that the key to dressing up is to get into classic shapes and silhouettes that enhance ones charm. Elegance in a more stylish yet wearable and comfortable manner.

Arcy Gayatin’s clothes are chic.  I can almost picture fine young ladies slip into Arcy’s cocktail confections that are ready  to wear for afternoon parties. The mixed patterns and embroidery were a surprise. I also adored her black and white set. Easy and breezy, I should say. Fluid fabrics remind me of a resort nearby. The beautiful mannequins  from A.D.MODELS & FTV looked so comfy on the runway wearing the clothes.  On top of that, her orchid detail just astounded me. No need for beading to make you glitter during evening soirees.  The décolleté was simply perfect.

Bergamo’s Man of the Moment, Mel Meer, if I may say it, is pretty happy to see his exquisitely tailored silk and wool suits on the runway with a few good gentlemen. A breath of fresh air, the earth-hued pure silk pieces would entice a young bachelor to just say the big “ I DO.” The men in black were gorgeous , dashing.   I spoke to Roland Magalang, VP for operations of the company, just a few seconds after the show ended. He just could not help express being impressed by the crowd’s admiration. He would be getting the same set of models again for the up and coming opening of the Bergamo Boutique in BTC (Banilad Town Center) this month.

With a fashion  event like this,  organized by FTV and ZEE, the venue was flanked by the most stylish celebrities in the city, fashion designers, stylists, and  top models,  making it another style soiree to remember. STYLISSIMO!!!
