A multi-tasking student

During the two years of my college life in UP, I constantly love to listen to the voice of Chassy. I hear her when I tune in the radio, when she is hosting events. I listen to her in some of voice-over commercials.
Chassy Mae Cortes is a junior Mass Communication student at the University of the Philippines in the Visayas – Cebu College. In her years of being a student, she has already been involved in the entertainment industry. She worked as a radio personality at Killer Bee for eight months. Later on, she moved on to another radio station, Y101 Cebu, as a trainee newscaster for six months. Aside from radio commercials, she also does voice-over for malls.
Being a student and, at the same time, a showbiz personality, it is truly not easy for Chassy. However, she was able to juggle her time in both. She explained, "I am a type of person who is not contented to do only one thing. I love to do multi-tasking in running my life." She added, "Ever since I was a kid, I really wanted to be in the entertainment industry."
For Chassy, it gives her thrill and fun when working. She advises, "In the business, you actually need to be professional when working with other people. It may be difficult to control your emotions but still you need to be strong in facing every part of it."
At this moment, Chassy is busy organizing and hosting special events. She is an Event Working Crew, as well as a production staff for Cebu Business Month. Nevertheless, she isn’t forgetting her studies. She is competent to do all these things instride.
It was an honor talking with Chassy. I was able to be familiar with her personality and her work. She serves as an encouragement to every student, especially those who desire to get on her track. Chassy is just one of the many teenagers who want to make a mark in the world of entertainment. Her dream is to stay put in the industry she is working and to get a position. I can definitely say that Chassy is not only a very good speaker but a great achiever, as well.
