Passing on the MAC glory (MAC Summer Workshop)

And then, there are four queens - Karla Bautista, Melanie Ediza, Stephanie Señires and Anna Maris Igpit. In the running to be the Philippine's Next Top Model is Elvira Stehr. On the local boobtube is Cassidy Shun, who plays a vital role in the newest Cebuanovela of ABS-CBN, "Summer Sunshine." In the international front is Supermodel Marjay Ramirez. They are all models who came from the same family - Models Association of Cebu or simply MAC.
Over the last 10 years, MAC had made name for itself not only in Cebu but in the capital, as well as most sought-after runway and print modeling agency. Thanks to its denizens who always leave an impact of having the most promise of making it big in the fashion capitals of the world. And who could forget the successive victorious years of Karla, Anna and Melanie in the most prestigious pageant in the country - Bb. Pilipinas, that definitely solidified the image of MAC as the home of queens?
Their feat however did not happen overnight, rather it went through a tedious process of nurturing the raw potentials in them. From the moment they were discovered up to the time they were groomed to be the next big thing in both beauty pageants and fashion circuits in the country, so much honing and toning were poured in. That is what we call proper training, handled only by experts who gave great eyes for beauty and detail.
All of them are walking advertisements, having made a name for themselves. Since then, clamors for MAC to share the magic of producing the next Karla, Melanie, Anna, Marjay, Stephanie and Elvira have been mounting. And finally the long wait is over. Chicoy Tomol, manager of MAC, reveals that after so much thought and discussions with the shakers and movers of the Cebu fashion circle, a common decision has been arrived at: to eventually open the MAC Model Workshop for summer.
"There were a lot of calls and appeal for MAC to offer modeling workshops since years ago and we believed that, yeah it is about time that we answer such requests and calls," Chicoy disclosed.
So, mark your calendars. On April 16, MAC would open wide its doors to anyone who hopes to duplicate if not surpass the successes of its residents through its first ever modeling workshop. The catch is, MAC's A-List models will personally handle everything, so expect to rub elbows with the likes of Karla and Melanie or gain catwalk insights directly from either Anna or Steph. There would be 10 sessions and you will be required to shell out P8,800 for your actual photo shoot, a fashion show with your would-be mentors, of course, a portfolio, set cards, t-shirt, module and a lot more.
Learn how to overcome shyness and eventually gain confidence, develop good grooming, master the art of public speaking and basic make-up, be able to identify the different types of modeling - runway style, beauty queen walk and print ad poise. Be with the pro! Be with MAC!
