Choices just got better

Years back, when we wanted to watch movies at home, we had but one option-to run to the local video rental shop, pick something (sometimes it wasn't even in-store) from a selection of Beta and VHS and join in a long queue to pay for the rental.
A few years later, laserdiscs were created - advanced and known as a fantastic, massive new dimension. But then the disks just seemed to have gotten smaller and smaller and it all came down to a DVD. It is amazing on what has changed from all these years from the time I was aware on what videotape was.
With Internet connection speeds now faster and new software available that allows you to download huge files that previously would have taken weeks to get into your computer, watching films from the comfort of your home is easier than ever. Bittorent is a software that enables users to download vast files from the Internet such as movie files and video clips. This company that produces this programme recently announced that it had joined forces with a few major companies to offer legal downloads.
You can also swap DVDs or cassette tapes with people in order to watch TV programmes you forgot to record. There are many on-line brokering services (I don't want to mention anything in particular to avoid being bias) that enables people to borrow videotapes from each other by simply emailing or sending a text message to their website, in much the same way you would ring up a friend to record something on TV when you're out. It is easy and makes perfect sense! It is a whole new way of watching and especially fun for everyone at all ages. Internet technology now adds more variety and even more choice to your domestic viewing menu. But I am still kept wondering on what would be in store for us in the near future.
