The Ayala Lagoon Area was teeming with social, fashion and art luminaries as Ayala Center Cebu staged the groundbreaking ceremonies that will magically transform the lagoon area into a Greenbelt Makati-like array of high end shops. It will most definitely be a shopping hub this Southern part of shop-crazy nook of Asia.
Chic party planner Madame Teresin Mendezona wondrously enhanced the lagoon area with her distinctive style with the help of greenthumb Jaime Chua. The lagoon area became a double ramped fashion arena as designer Jed Sevilla presented a Midsummer Night's Dream inspired collection of voluminous gowns and colorful menswear. Taking his cue from the theme of That Enchanted Evening, he masterfully blended his keen eye on details with visually appealing haute couture collection that drew oohs and aahs from the already enthralled audience.
Add to the fact that top runway mannequins from M.A.C.>Models Association of Cebu gave justice to each piece with aplomb. The first face was Melanie Ediza in her apple green suede princess line gown with huge burgundy cabbage roses that matched her chandelier earrings. What followed was model after model clad in Jed Sevilla and stamped with his signature style of volume and intricate beading. Karla Bautista was definitely the fairy queen Titania as she came out for the finale in her emerald green longsleeved draped gown with plunging neckline showing off ample décolletage.
Bravissimo to director Junjet Primor and his staff for a cleverly done presentation. Kudos to Ayala Center Cebu spearheaded by Ms Joy Pollozos!
