Jose Mari Chan: Returns to Cebu for Holiday Medley

If you're a Jose Mari Chan fan and want to hear more, come and enjoy a relaxing evening of songs and romance as the celebrated singer/composer is set to serenade audiences anew with his familiar and much-loved compositions in a special one-night performance.
On Friday, November 17, Jose Mari Chan returns to Cebu at the Casino Español for a benefit show in support of the St. Joseph Foundation's fundraising drive for its ongoing charitable projects.
Jose Mari Chan, who is also an industrialist and philanthropist, has held highly successful concerts here and abroad for humanitarian purposes. In one interview, he was quoted as saying, "I usually sing to raise funds mainly for parish churches, schools, medical groups, orphanages and the likes. Music is truly God's marvelous gift. It comes around and goes around. You make people happy with your songs plus together you get them to help many good causes."
Since he composed his first song, "Afterglow" in the '60s, the prolific Jose Mari Chan has written a string of timeless hits and well-loved Christmas songs in his four-decade musical career.
To date, Jose Mari Chan holds the record as the biggest selling recording artist in the history of Philippine pop music, accumulating more than 40 platinum records in sales. In 2005, Jose Mari Chan was accorded the first Elite Platinum Award during the ASAP Platinum Circle at ABS-CBN. The popular Sunday noontime show honored Chan for the unmatched achievement in sales of his albums "Constant Change" and "Christmas in Our Hearts."
