"Talented" and "creative" best describe the city's young artists who have made quite an impression with their recent works of art that showcase lovely, glamorous ladies and equally dynamic gentlemen.
Romero Vergara is a Cosmetology graduate from the Slim Fashion School in Manila. Among his many accomplishments are acclaimed fashion shoots for national magazines and ultra high-end fashion shows for Ferragamo and Bulgari. He was likewise commissioned to do the make-up of Elsa Klensch, the high priestess of fashion trends in the world of television when she visited the Philippines. Primarily based in Manila, Romero commutes to Cebu regularly.
Emilio Juan "Jon" Unson graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Fine Arts, majors in Painting. Active in Cebu's fashion circuit, Jon started doing shoots in local fashion events where his works earned him recognition.
In 1996, he moved to Manila to further expand his knowledge and experience. He became the in-house photographer for Gustav Graphics. Equipped with various creative techniques and innovative ideas, Jon decided to move back to Cebu permanently where he now shares his passion for photography with Cebuanos.
Marvel and enjoy the works of these two talented individuals as we bring glimpses of the island's personalities as captured by the lens of Jon Unson and the creative make over of make-up artist Romero Vergara.
