BHW Show '06 to highlight seminars & fora

The much awaited event organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc. & the Spa & Wellness Association of Cebu (SWAC) will highlight a series of seminars & fora during its 2nd Beauty, Health & Wellness Show 2006 this Saturday at SM City Cebu Trade Hall.
Dra. Viola Lhea Abella, a dermatologist of AIGS Mktg. Corp. will talk on Luminglow an all-natural (no steroids, no animal or synthetic ingredient) cream formulation that can provide nourishment to the body through the skin using the latest technology called NANO TECHNOLOGY. In line with this, a seminar on Mesotherapy will be facilitated by Dra. Myra Vitorillo from Club Ultima. Mesotherapy is a medical specialty which involves injecting microscopic quantities of natural plant extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceutical agents and vitamins into the skin to treat variety of condition. It is a highly efficient medical procedure used for cellulite reduction, spot fat reduction, weight loss, body sculpting and skin rejuvenation. Both sessions comprise the Beauty Track of BHW's seminars and fora.
Meanwhile, Dr. Alfonso Wong, from Wellspring Alternative Medical Center will tackle the latest cancer cure therapy. For the Wellness Track, Dr. Alfonso Lagaya will discuss the current strength of the spa industry and the great opportunity in the international arena. The talk will also identify the important gaps that hinder the development of this concept quoting Dr. Lagaya's government experience as the former Director General of the Department of Health - Philippine Institute of Traditional & Alternative Health Care (DOH-PITAHC) and now very active in the Complimentary & Alternative Medicine (CAM) clinical training and conducting CAM clinical services at government hospitals, universities and private clinics. Also, an overview of CAM for the benefit of the physicians, other professional health workers and the general public will be presented.
Dr. Joseph Leyson from Southwestern University will give a talk on Lifestyle, Preventive Health & Nutrition; SWAC Pres. Johnie Lim will also discuss the Salon & Spa Business. On the last day of the show, there will be a vegetarian cooking demo & lecture on vegetarianism to be facilitated by Mr. & Mrs. Rene & Lalita Araneta of La! VEGGIE,
"HILOT" : A traditional Philippine Massage will also be featured to be demonstrated by Mr. Victor Donayre, Director of Phil. Holistic & Wellness Institute.
BHW Show 2006 soft opening will be this Friday at 10 a.m. An AVP presentation featuring 9 beautifully fit Cebuanos, aero presentations, body painting, fashion show and other fitness exercises will be showcased during the Grand Opening on September 22 at 4 p.m. Meanwhile, on September 24, 4 p.m. will be the scheduled induction of new members of the Spa & Wellness Association of Cebu. At the same time, Cebu Spa directory & stickers will be distributed to the guests and spectators of the event. Best booth design will also be announced during the closing ceremony. A total of 57 exhibitors and sponsors are participating in the Beauty, Health & Wellness Show 2006.
