A place to park, Treff

It can also be called a place to meet friends, a place to drink or a place to unwind. Welcome to Treff, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino's official bar and lounge.

Formerly known as the "Treff Oyster Bar", it is now cloaked with an ultra-modern look, thanks to interior designer Anton Mendoza of J. Antonio Mendoza Architects.

White walls, light sandstone floors, a white granite long bar and an unrestricted usage of glass dominates the ambiance inside Treff.

I was particularly impressed with the La Marie chairs from the Philippe Starck collection made from polycarbonate plexi glass. Nice chair to accompany my dinning table! However, when I heard about the price of each chair, nice na lang! It is best to return to my favorite subject...food. During the soft opening, the accompanying pictures are a prologue to the kind of menu that is soon to be served in Treff.

Arriving punctually at 7:00 p.m., I had all the time to taste (and this includes amateur photography) and savor each bite in slow motion two maki rolls fusion, duck fajitas, scallops wrapped in apple smoked bacon, pepper crusted beef, chicken curry naan pizza and the lemon grass shrimp and noodles. Accompanying drink (actually drinks, I had two glasses) was a Martini, shaken, not stirred! The fajita was great, the scallops were delicious and the beef tender. However, surprisingly the best dish that night was the noodles that accompanied the lemon grass shrimps. And I thought that noodles were just noodles and for that reason I almost missed it. Luckily, I had all the time to taste each dish. The dessert section presented all the possibilities but strict man my diet; I had to limit myself to only two choices.

Treff formally opened to the public last Thursday, August 3. It is open from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. daily. Indeed a nice place to park, to…. Savor. Play. Live.
