Cebu Province's 437th Founding Anniversary
August 5, 2006 | 12:00am
Last Monday saw the opening and inauguration of Cebu Province's 437th Founding Anniversary where key cities and municipalities of Cebu expressed unity by converging at the Provincial Capitol for a five-day celebration.
Booths have been erected in front of the Capitol building which serve as outlets for trade and tourism. Nightly presentations highlight the evening affair. Among those presenting were the Caballo de Compostela Dance Troupe of the Municipality of Compostela, Argao Dance Troupe, Dumanjug, Mandaue and Cebu City.
For the first time, the City of Toledo has joined the bandwagon.
A large slogan spreads over the main stage which, when aptly read and translated from dialect, means let the work speak for itself.
