Kawasan... One more time!
July 2, 2006 | 12:00am
Our department had always longed for a summer outing. But I guess planning was all we could ever do. There were lots of issues that hindered such a major activity - the greatest issue was time. We always race against time! Most of us work from 3pm until dawn or whenever the last page of the newspaper is done. That means, if we will pursue our plan of going out, then, we must deprive ourselves of sleep and sacrifice our strength to achieve our goal.
When I brought up the issue of going to Kawasan in one of our casual meetings, most of my subordinates were getting anxious. They were very eager to loosen was their tensions and stress from long days of work.
Getting there was neither fun nor stressful. Dishing out from work at 12 midnight, I had to split the group in half (each with different assignments and responsibilities). At 4am, after gathering all necessary provisions for the trip, we rolled down south. The trip would normally consume 4hrs of our time just to get there, but since it was dawn, traffic was out of the question. We got there by 6 am.
From the parking area, the real travel started. With lots of provisions in hand, we started walking the crooked path for about 30 mins. or more. When we got to our destination, we were rewarded of our agonizing walk was with the sight of the falls. Kawasan Falls was indeed magnificent! It was enchanting and mystical that early morning.
I would really like to share with you the details of our experience in Kawasan but then, I felt lazy all over and decided to let the pictures tell our short encounter with Kawasan Falls. Enjoy the view!
