A good night's rest at Cebu City Marriott Hotel

Cebu City Marriott Hotel joins the 2,700 Marriott hotels worldwide in getting the latest Marriott bedding makeover, which offers plushier mattresses, softer sheets, more pillows and a fresh, all-white look. The transformation is part of Marriott's global bedding initiative which utilizes over 30 million yards of fabric - enough to stretch more than two-thirds of the way around the world.

"The new bedding standard is actually new for Marriott International properties that is to enhance the product. It is an important factor for guest satisfaction. The implementation took a while because we have to be careful with the technical details like the specifications and the color theme," explains Jun Justo, CCMH director of rooms.

A standard that covers all Marriott Hotels & Resorts, the makeover can actually enhance the way you sleep with its traditional bedspreads replaced with freshly laundered linens. Plus, you can find down comforters within sheeted duvets. The mattress topper is sized at two-to-four inches. The duvet covers, on the other hand, features 300-thread count, cotton-rich, white top and fitted bottom sheets. A decorative bed scarf also perks up the stylized bedding. All these make Marriott's new bedding the cleanest, freshest, thickest and softest among global hotel chains.

CCMH offers additional guest services. "We have a virtual concierge on our website and from there, you can choose which added service you might want to avail of. Say, for example, you want a bottle of wine or a bouquet of flowers to be placed inside your room prior to your arrival, we can do that," says Alfie Sabino, CCMH's front office manager.

Furthermore, CCMH is eyeing on upgrading the room amenities. Apart from the standard conveniences like electric flat iron, ironing board, mini-bar, television set, etc. Justo says the hotel would be modernizing the rooms, including a flat-screen television set.
